Mommy’s First Time

Baby’s Here!

A few more months go by…then, he or/she (if you decide to choose) is finally here! Just when you think you can relax. Sorry to burst your bubble…Nope! Soon after, guests, doctors, and nurses come in to check on you and baby. When will I get to slow down and relax with my little one you may wonder? Soon momma soon! Rest the doctors tell you!! Well that’s near impossible when nurses are coming in every hour on the hour! Their actions are understandable, but none the less can be irritating. Try to stay calm and SLEEP as much as possible.

  • A suggestion for those who are comfortable: If baby and momma are in good health, consider going home a.s.a.p. if you want. Just be sure to talk to your doctor first.

After all the hectic noises of the hospital end, you can enjoy some quite! It’s time to go home! This is everything! The true test of motherhood! The anxiety and questions flood your mind again, oh no…this again? Do not fret, it becomes second nature after a while. Work on getting into a routine later, a couple weeks at the earliest. Don’t put to much pressure on yourself right away. You will be tired and struggling to keep your eyes open sometimes. It’s all worth it in the end.

Let me tell you from experience, never think you have to do it yourself. What if I’m a single mother? Or dad? Talk to a friend or family member, one you can trust, have them watch baby or just sit with you to give you a break. Just in that short period you will notice everything will be okay! ALWAYS ASK FOR HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT! Don’t let your pride stand in the way. They grow up fast, once they start walking and talking it gets a little harder. Haha.

Just enjoy the here and now! You’ll do great. Give cuddles and love for that’s how babies grow and learn. If you enjoyed this leave a comment, follow or share! Happy parenting!

It takes a village to raise a child!

African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.
